In the last six years, over 400 organisations have vied for the prestigious annual CII-ITC Sustainability Awards with over 75 having received recognition. This year, 16 winners from the 2011 cycle will be announced at a special ceremony on the morning of Friday, February 10, at ITC Maurya inNew Delhi.
The ceremony will feature a special address by Mr. Anand Sharma, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Textiles, Government of India, among other dignitaries.
To begin the event, a panel of high-level representatives from leading Indian organisations will discuss the rewards of sustainability. Chief guest Anand Sharma then will present awards to the 16 winning organisations.
Through the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards process, participating organisations’ triple bottom line performance is evaluated. Outstanding performers are identified via a rigorous assessment process conducted by trained assessors. Finalists are selected by a distinguished jury.
