Namaskara Bengaluru

Last week Ek Titli completed another milestone and said namaskara to the Garden City of Bangalore.
Ek Titli Bengaluru is a group of enthusiasts who have taken up a small commitment towards making a difference and change the way we look at the environment around us, naturally bringing eco-cognizance will be the bedrock on which Bengaluru chapter will be built.
Ek Titli Bengaluru will seek to increase information levels but in a way people want to consume this information as content. Ek Titli Bengaluru will also seek to undertake a role in partnering with other like-minded organizations and institutions to research problems that affect our eco-spaces and our environment..
We know that this is an ambitious charter, but just run through who we got on board and you will see why we have feel this optimism ;)

Native of Salem (TN). My educational qualification is a Masters in Industrial biotechnology. I currently work for Biocon India Ltd. Bangalore as a Scientist in the Protein purification RND Lab. My areas of interest are biology and environmental sciences. From what I’ve heard from my colleagues is that I’m good at teaching (I love teaching!!) and managing people. My negative trait is that I may lose my patience. I’ll conclude with my likes and dislikes… I love animals/pets, art… and I hate garbage and dirty roads!!!
Divya Vishwanath
Ayn Rand once said, “Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision. ” I find this so true of Ek Titli!!! Kudos to the team for this vision… this endeavor to make this planet habitable for our future generations.
Hello All!!! I am Divya Vishwanath. I am currently working as a scientist in Biocon Ltd. I have lived in Bangalore all my life and have been witness to the degradation process that has caught the city and its people unawares. The current situation is a result of our own doings…probably the consequence of being passive bystanders to all that havoc being wreaked on the city in the name of ‘development.’
Rupa Satrasala
Rupa works at Yahoo! She is a BITs Alumni. As a student she was a coordinator of her discipline for Apogee, one of the largest technological symposiums of the country. She loves painting and is very much interested in interior designing and cooking. Her new love is learning guitar.

Kartik has completed his studies from the MS Ramiah Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore. He is one of the most voracious readers that I know of and is an extremely gifted writer and public speaker as well. His deep understanding of the needs and various inefficiencies (such as lack of waste management, energy inefficiencies etc.) connected with hospitals and medical research brings an absolutely unique perspective to the Bangalore team.
Akshad Viswanathan
Akshad works with Yahoo! Inc and completed his studies from Pune university. He loves quizzing, specifically Biz-quizzes. His other full time activity is reading, lots of it.
